Learning objective: to introduce line graphs.

Click on the link and watch the video, then complete the worksheet.  You can print this or write your answers on a separate piece of paper.  Once you have finished, check your answers and rework any you have wrong.  If this lesson has taken you less than an hour - and you have checked and corrected your mistakes - then please do the extension tasks.

Learning objective: to revise using apostrophes.

Music

Lesson objective: to learn a melody and ostinato and perform it.

Over the last couple of lessons, you have learnt about rhythm and melody in Indian classical music.  Today, we are travelling to a different part of the world – The Caribbean – to learn a song from their Junkanoo festival. You will complete a vocal warmup and then learn the melody of the song.  After, you will learn the bass ostinato (the repeated section that continues throughout the piece) along with a rhythmic ostinato, which you will play using body percussion.  Finally, you will get a chance to sing within a round and perform the piece. Watch the lesson video and complete the activities when asked to. The links to the videos used in the lesson are also shown below.
