Autumn

Music

Throughout the Autumn term, the children will be learning the recorder.  Giving the children an opportunity to learn an instrument, will further their understanding of pitch and rhythm and will also support their ability to read stave notation.  Alongside this, Year 6 will be learning a song for the Remembrance Service as well as a range of Christmas Music for the Carol Service, giving the children chance to improve their singing technique by singing a range of music from difference genres and offering performance opportunities.

Use the links below to find further resources:  Backing tracks for recorder pieces to allow children to practice at home if they would like and words and music for songs (once we have started learning them in class).
