Here are some phonic resources that you may find useful to use at home.

Above are a list of common high frequency words.  In school, the children know these as red words.  Red words cannot be read in the conventional way using phonic sounds.  To practice these words, use a lollystick or your finger to point to the words as you read them.  How quickly can you read each row?  Remember if you make a mistake go back to the beginning of that row! Have fun!
