Emergency Closure (incl. Snow and Bad Weather) Procedure
The decision to close the school is never taken lightly and every effort is made to keep the school open. Our major concern is for the safety of pupils and staff travelling to school. Most of our teachers live beyond reasonable walking distance from the school and we cannot operate the school safely without them.
In the event of severe weather conditions or an emergency, information will be posted on the school’s facebook page and on the Bucks County website, www.buckscc.gov.uk – top tasks bar – school closures. Local radio stations also issue regular bulletins.
If we have to close the school during the school day we will notify parents via parentmail and the school’s facebook page. We appreciate that not all parents will receive the message straightway. Similarly it may be some time before parents can collect their children.
Please be assured all children will be safe and cared by staff until their parents arrive to collect them.
